Stop Doing it Alone
Try something new and take action
Take Action
You've got a plan and know roughly what you want to do next and you've probably been thinking about it for longer than you'd like to admit.
But you're doing it alone because you haven't found the person you trust it with yet.
You've been let down enough times to know that most people either don't get it, project their own fears onto your plans or give you generic advice.
You need someone creative, straight talking and genuinely invested in seeing and helping you succeed.
This zone is that person.
What is it
What it is: Small, precise actions that create enough friction with the existing pattern that the nervous system starts updating its model of who you are. Because insight without action changes nothing long term.
Who it’s for: You've got direction but you're stuck in the planning loop. You work better when you can think out loud with someone who gets it. You're done with generic advice and you need someone who will help you get it done.
What you get: A concrete action plan built around your specific situation. Creative problem solving with someone who isn't going to judge the idea or water it down. Accountability that feels like support, and someone who makes you feel seen heard and understood.
The Science
Decision fatigue and isolation are two of rhe biggest blockers to action.
Research on implementation intentions shows that specific plans; who , what, when , where; are exponentially more likely to be executed than general intentions.
Having a thinking partner also activates the social engagement system of the nervous system, which is literally the state we need to be in to access creative problem solving.
You think better when you feel safe. That's neuroscience.
The Civilian
You are a civilian in your own life.
Do one thing you would never normally do.
Go somewhere alone. Order what you actually want. Take an unfamiliar route. Sit somewhere new and just exist without agenda.
At the end of the day write one sentence. How did it feel to exist without performing?
